The drive-thru approach is happening in all kinds of hospital surgeries these days. My husband had cancer 6 years ago & after one of his surgeries he wasn’t even strong enough to walk yet when they discharged him… they helped him into a wheelchair to get to the car… and I sat there saying, how am I supposed to get him up the stairs to our 3rd floor apartment? They didn’t give a damn. And don’t even get me started on insurance/billing, etc. Our medical system is a mess.
