    Winter waits to pounce.

    Heads up.

Members of the Iraqi coalition government have been working establishing evidence between Hussein and al-Qaida. Probably wise of them to try and appear useful to some government since it doesn’t appear that the Iraqis have any interest in keeping them in power.

They have shown a memo that was allegedly sent from the former head of Iraqi Intelligence to Saddam detailing information about suspected 9/11 planner Atta coming to Baghdad to train with Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal. The council insists the memo is genuine while refusing to disclose how it was obtained.

Evidence linking Hussein, Palestinians, and 9/11 – very convenient. I think it is reasonable to assume we’ll be hearing more about this.

Oh yeah, it also allegedly confirms that Iraq was getting uranium from Nigeria.

Sadly, it is clear that this report doesn’t need to be proven true – as long as it is not proven untrue, it will serve a purpose. Even if proven untrue, it will still accomplish something (like the weather balloon trailers).

I’m sure our favorite alley cat will come up with discrediting information on this one sometime soon – as I said before, it seems a little too convenient to be true. Everything delivered on a silver platter as it were.

    So, will it be:

    a) Shielded by plausible deniability – in the event that it is shown to be untrue, it can be blamed on an “intelligence failure”?

    b) Continue to be unsupported so that it can not truly be confirmed or denied?

    c) Used to sacrifice members of the more and more useless “coalition government” in order to replace them with our next attempt to keep the country from become an anti-western theocracy?

    d) Something else?
